Kim-Joy Hewlett supports Samaritans

11 12 2018

Great British Bake-Off finalist Kim-Joy Hewlett is supporting the Samaritans Brew Monday campaign, encouraging people to organise a get-together with friends and family for a cup of tea on January 21, to raise funds for the charity.

The third Monday in January is often dubbed 'Blue Monday', as research has found it's the 'most difficult day of the year', and Hewlett commented 'Setting aside time for a cup of tea might sound simple, but it is an act that helps offset other pressures. It means you get time for yourself and those close to you... It is a collection of lots of smaller gestures that hopefully will get us thinking or talking more about our mental health'.
